A blonde Belgian ale is based on a large amount of malt and lesser amount of Pilsner, supplemented with cane sugar. This elegantly balances the sweet and sour tastes. Blonde ale was developed to match the Pilsner.

Beer marinated brie

With fried grapes and almonds

For 4 persons

2 dl GB beer

200g brie

150g green stone free grapes

100g whole almonds

4 pieces of paper thin rye bread

cinnamon sugar

25g butter

Marinated brie: Take the brie and stick a thin knife in it. Put it in a fitting bowl and pour the beer over it. Put it in the fridge and turn it every hour for 4 hours. The longer it stays in the beer, the stronger the taste will be.

Fried grapes and almonds: Roast the almonds on a pan at even heat, until they are golden. Add butter and grapes and saute it until the grapes have got colour. Sprinkle the rye bread pieces with cinnamon sugar and let them dry a warm place.

Serving: Cut the cheese in appropriate pieces and let them temper for about 20 minuts. Sprinkle fried almonds and grapes on the plate and garnish with the rye bread cracker.

Rissollées: Cook the patatoes until they are almost tender and peel them. Fry them in 75g butter until they are golden.
